Job Summary/Basic Functions

UMW is currently building a pool of potential applicants for adjunct faculty positions in Biological Sciences. We anticipate the need for instructors for Introductory Biology w/lab in Fall 26 and S27; additional needs may arise for S27 and subsequent semesters. Applicants may be contacted if their qualifications match a need for a particular course.

Required Education:

Doctorate in a biological science, or a master’s degree in a biological science with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in biological sciences. For upper-level courses, more specific courses may be required.

Additional Considerations:

  • Experience teaching courses in biology at the college level.
  • Research or clinical experience in relevant disciplines.
