Job Summary/Basic Functions

Employment Dates: January 2025-September 30, 2025 (Limited term position funded by
Department of Justice, Office on Violence Against Women)

The Project Director for UMW’s Program to Reduce Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, and Stalking will provide leadership and coordinator for the grant funded by the Department of Justice, Office of Violence Against Women (OVW). The Project Director will serve as the point of contact for OVW, manage the implementation of grant programs and activities, submit grant reports and other items through JustGrants, and co-chair UMW’s coordinated community response team (CCRT). The Project Director will have responsibility for ensuring the development and implementation of statutory and other program requirements, as well as coordinating and managing all grant-related activities. The Project Director will coordinate and assist in developing programs, events, and training related to grant goals; and provide support for other program tasks. The Project Director will participate in the grant’s mandatory training institutes (TTIs).

Required Experience:

Experience working in an area related to sexual assault, dating violence and stalking, working on grants, and/or other related supportive fields that are transferable to the role.

Additional Considerations:

Preferred Required KSAs / Competencies / Qualifications to successfully perform their work: Prior experience working in higher education or community outreach programs.
