The University of Mary Washington, an NCAA Division III institution located in Fredericksburg, VA, seeks applicants for Assistant Athletic Trainer position. The University is part of the state system of Virginia and enrolls approximately 5,000 total students. Fredericksburg is a vibrant and historic city located just off Interstate 95 halfway between Washington, DC and Richmond, VA. This is a full-time, eleven-month position reporting to the Head Athletic Trainer. The assistant athletic trainer will be responsible for the prevention, evaluation, treatment, referral, and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses sustained by student-athletes. Specific duties include, but not limited to, assisting the daily health care of student athletes; recording and maintaining appropriate medical records, appropriately communicating with administrators, coaches, support staff, team physicians, and other medical personnel; and other duties as assigned. BOC Certification and CPR/AED for the health care professional required. Candidate must be eligible for state license through the VA Board of Medicine. Previous athletic training experience preferred, with 1-3 years of collegiate athletic training experience recommended.
Required Experience:
1-3 years in a collegiate athletic training setting required (clinical sites may be counted as experience). BOC Certification and CPR/AED/First Aid for the health care professional required. Candidate must be eligible for state license through the VA Board of Medicine.

CSCS, CPR/AED Instructor, working knowledge of Division III Athletics.
