Job Summary/Basic Functions
Serves as key member of the Human Resources team to manage and administer recruitment function for public institution of higher education. Responsible for recruitment strategies, policies, methods, and processes from position establishment to offer. Works to ensure and maintain reputation as competitive employer of choice in the relevant labor markets. Performs technical and analytical duties, provides consultation to management, employees and applicants. Designs, develops, communicates, delivers and assesses a customer focused recruitment program which demonstrates the university’s commitment to diversity and inclusive excellence.
Required KSAs:
Knowledge of the human resource theories, principles and best practices associated with equal employment opportunity, recruitment and hiring, Affirmative Action, and related state and federal laws and regulations. Demonstrated competency in developing strategies to improve customer service, program efficiency and effectiveness: ability to analyze and reach logical and legally supportable conclusions, ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and to prioritize work. Ability to work independently with supervisors, applicants and employees; to teach others, analyze and interpret policies and procedures and to consult effectively. Professional discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality is a must.
Required Experience:
Minimum five years of professional experience in the field of Human Resources, at least three of which include substantive EEO and recruitment responsibilities. Experience with administration of online recruitment management systems.
Additional Considerations:
Experience with Affirmative Action Plan administration; knowledge of and experience with compensation principles and practices; benefits and total compensation, and other HR related practices.
