The Center for Student Transition, Access, & Retention Services (STARS) aims to provide direct programming and services focused on advocacy and support to strengthen belonging and the success of first-generation, Pell-eligible, and geographically diverse students throughout their entire experience at UMW. The STARS center offers students community, personal enrichment, and vocational preparation to be competitive in career and continuing education opportunities post-UMW.
The STARS center is currently seeking SEVEN (7) hardworking, organized, and self-sufficient individuals for the ‘STARS Ambassadors’ position. STARS Ambassadors are students who represent the STARS Center, often serving as a bridge between the university and prospective students, current students, and the broader community at different events. This role involves engaging with diverse audiences, sharing your personal experiences, and providing valuable insights about campus life.
Interviews for STARS Ambassadors will occur between Monday, September 16th- Friday, September 27th with appointed individuals to start as soon as possible.
