Title: Student AV Technician

Advertised Range: $13.50 per hour

 

Job Summary/Basic Functions

Setup of audio, Video, and lighting systems for various events on campus. Assist the Events AV staff with setup and operation of Audio Visual equipment for events across campus.

Required KSAs/Competencies/Qualifications

Basic knowledge of Audio equipment. Knowledge of Microsoft office suite (primarily PPT). Dependability and flexible schedule.

Required Experience:

Prior Audio and lighting experience is a plus, but not required. Training is provided

Dodd Auditorium Technicians provide the crews for events in Dodd Auditorium. This includes running the sound and light board, serving as running crew, running follow spots, and stage management. The Dodd Auditorium Technician also helps maintain the equipment in Dodd Auditorium. All technicians will be crossed train to perform any tasks needed to successfully run any event that is booked in the Auditorium. This includes: lectures, music department concerts, dance concerts, student club events, films, and meetings. All training is handled In-House.

Dodd Auditorium House Manager

Dodd Auditorium House Managers are the public face of Dodd Auditorium. They serve as the “Host” of Dodd Auditorium. They are responsible for the Front-of-House aspect of the auditorium. The make sure that the space is ready for our patrons; they greet the patrons as they come into the foyer, and they answer any questions the patrons may have concerning the event. They enforce the house rules and deal with any emergencies that arise. They are also all crossed trained to serve as a Dodd Auditorium Technician if needed. No Experience needed, all training is handled In-House.
