For the past 30 years, the University of Mary Washington (UMW) has proudly employed students to paint the interiors of our residential and administrative buildings. Room Preparation: Move furniture, remove outlet/switch covers and put drop clothes in place.
Surface Preparation: Clean, sand, and prime surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion.
Painting: Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
Detail Work: Pay attention to detail to ensure clean lines and even coverage.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of materials.
Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper disposal of paint and materials.
Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other team members to complete projects on time.
Tool Maintenance: Ensure all painting tools and equipment are cleaned and stored properly after use.
