Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Academic Records Specialist performs complex, responsible work in administering processes and providing services related to student academic records, registration, class schedule and enforcement of academic policies. The Academic Records Specialist modifies and updates student data as well as apply academic regulations to a variety of situations. this position also exercises a significant amount of independent judgement and discretion in the performance of their job duties.

Required Experience:

Experience working with a relational database such as a student information system. Extensive experience with records management.

Additional Considerations:

KSAs
Knowledge of state university/college policies and procedures. Working knowledge of FERPA and other federal regulations related to the release of educational records to third parties. Ability to work independently yet function as a member of the office team.

EDUCATION
Associate's Degree or higher or years equivalent years of experience

Experience
Two-three years experience working in higher education environment. Experience using database tools preferably Banner
