Job Summary/Basic Functions
Makerspace Student Aides (members of the Maker Squad) will support COE students and faculty by staffing the Makerspace during open hours and providing training on various technologies.
Required Experience:
None
Additional Considerations:
- Basic knowledge of teaching and training methods to effectively guide users in the Makerspace.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot equipment, including 3D printers, laser cutters, and other digital fabrication tools
- Ability to identify issues and find creative solutions when using different technologies
- Enrollment in or completion of courses in relevant fields (e.g., Education, Computer Science, Digital Studies, Technology)
- Previous experience with Makerspaces, educational settings, or technology-related roles
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
