Job Summary/Basic Functions
Gari Melchers Home and Studio is seeking an energetic, organized, and creative individual to join our team as the part-time Events Assistant. This position provides support to the Events Manager in all aspects of events, both internal and external, such as weddings, corporate retreats, galas, and auctions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to responding to inquiries, administrative tasks, event logistics, marketing, coordination, set-up/break down and event oversight. The ideal candidate is extremely reliable and detail-oriented with sound judgment and willing to “roll up the sleeves” to do what is needed in situations while also maintaining a “big picture” strategic view and a positive attitude. This individual must enjoy working with people; have a customer-oriented focus; and be able to take direction and constructive criticism well.
Required Experience:
Experience working in hospitality industry such as events, restaurants, catering companies, hotels, and one-on-one individuals planning of event.
Additional Considerations:
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, Canva, Hootsuite, Social Tables, Allseated, Perfect Table, WeddingWire, Eventective
- Photography, videography, editing, and production
- Event management Software
- Event sales experience
- Marketing and content creation including brochure/invitation/flyer development
-Website maintenance
College degree.
Experience with booking, coordinating, and planning events at a venue. Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge in marketing, promotion, and the design of these materials.
