Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Student Support Specialist supports student enrollment and retention initiatives. The position serves as the primary point of contact in providing quality customer experiences for students, faculty, staff, and other stakeholders seeking guidance from the Office of the Registrar. This position provide front facing duties, supports the work of the department, daily operations and support through multiple modalities (email, in-person, and phone). This position is also responsible for the records retention schedule, document imaging and preparing, diploma ordering and monitoring orders using eVA for all departments reporting to the Registrar’s Office.

Required Experience:

Experience working with a relational database such as a student information system
Experience working with records management
Familiarity with higher education systems such as SPCC, Chrome River

Additional Considerations:

KSAs
Knowledge of FERPA and other regulations relating to the release of educational records
Working knowledge of Ellucian Banner or related student information system
