Job Summary/Basic Functions
To manage the Speaking and Writing Center including the hiring, supervision, and evaluation of student desk aide staff. The manger will build the center schedules and coordinate external communication with the campus community. The manager will assist the center director in with strategic planning. In addition, the manager will be responsible for purchasing for the Speaking and Writing Center and also support purchasing within the division.
Required Experience:
Experience working in a fast-paced academic support office. Experience using the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and Power Point. Experience hiring, training, and evaluating student and/or part-time staff. Experience working with students, faculty, staff, and other constituents of a university. Experience updating a website and other social media platforms. Previous supervisory experience.

Experience using Banner, EAB Navigate, WC Online, or another database software. Experience providing group academic skills workshops Experience managing a complex budget Purchasing credentials and experience Experience using MyTime software to track, approve, and management employee timecards Experience developing and facilitating social media outreach campaigns to various constituent groups including students, faculty, and staff. Experiencing using a variety of social media tools.
