
Title: Peer Academic Consultant

Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Peer Academic Coach will facilitate a weekly workshop for students who need assistance in developing executive functioning skills. This is a supplement for one-on-one Student Success Coaching and is aimed to provide students with weekly accountability check-ins, goal-setting sessions, area-specific instruction, and an opportunity to network with other students in order to find study partners or groups. The coach will also conduct outreach through events and online platforms with the goal to connect students to our services.

Good written and verbal communication skills.
Be able to demonstrate excellent academic study habits.
Strong interpersonal skills, well-organized, creative, problem solving, takes initiative.
Ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
Willingness and ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and differing support needs.

Required Education:
Current UMW student with a minimum 3.0 cumulative UMW GPA
