Job Summary/Basic Functions
As a member of the Work-Based Opportunity and Resource Champions (WORC) Team, the Work-Based Learning Coordinator will support student preparation for Life After Mary Washington (Life After MW) by facilitating access to a range of work-based learning (WBL) opportunities, especially internships. Reporting to the Director of Work-Based Learning Initiatives, this position will serve as a liaison between the Career and Workforce Division and stakeholders throughout and beyond campus to identify and promote WBL opportunities for students. This position will guide and support students in connecting with WBL opportunities and manage administrative processes required for transcribing those experiences. Serving as the primary administrator of the University’s platform for tracking WBL experiences, this position will collect, analyze, and report WBL data. This position will also manage the administration of various internship grants stewarded by the WORC Team.
Required Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent training and experience
• 1-3 years of experience in coaching or counseling undergraduate students, preferably in the area of career development
• 1-3 years of project management experience
• 1-3 years of experience in developing and delivering programs
