Job Summary/Basic Functions
The candidate will have a high attention to detail and good organizational skills. The internship is where an Accounting or Business major will learn practical skills to process contributions and accounts payable under the guidance of the Senior Accountant and Controller. Completion of Principles of Accounting is required. Increased responsibility available if an intern returns for a subsequent semester(s).
Students hired for the internship would be eligible to apply for the V-TOP Internship Support Grant regardless of whether they seek credit for the experience. Prior to applying for the grant, student interns would need to have a fully approved academic credit or zero-credit internship contract on file in Handshake with the University of Mary Washington.
