Job Summary/Basic Functions
UMW Athletics is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Athletic Grounds Lead Worker. This individual will provide maintenance and care of the University's athletic complex including but not limited to setting-up athletic venues for a variety of sports, maintenance of those venues including mowing, trimming, edging, aeration and seeding. This individual will be tasked with servicing a variety of maintenance equipment, as well as perform a wide variety of general grounds maintenance duties. Additionally, this individual will be tasked with the operation of dump trucks, tractors and other maintenance vehicles. Finally, this individual will be tasked with snow removal from steps, walks, roads, and parking lots using power or hand tools. Priority assignments for this position will focus on care and maintenance of the Rugby Pitch.
