Job Summary/Basic Functions

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as the Director of the Nurse Practitioner (NP) Program. The Director of the NP Program will be responsible for developing, implementing, and assessing program curriculum aligned with current clinical standards and accreditation requirements. The director will oversee all aspects of the FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner) program, including curriculum development, course scheduling, and personnel and budget management.

Required KSAs/Competencies/Qualifications

  • Extensive experience leading and directing a Bachelor's/Master's degree level Nursing Program
  • DNP OR PhD in the relevant discipline and area
  • Must be Board Certified - Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Virginia RN Licensure and a Virginia Nurse Practitioner license (NP) or APRN, recognized by the Virginia Board of Registered Nursing
  • Excellent leadership, communication, team participation, and human relation skills

 

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of three years teaching and practice experience as appropriate to the program
  • Experience with distance learning 
     

Additional Considerations:

  • Experience with NP program development and program management
  • Experience and knowledge of compliance and accreditation
