Job Summary/Basic Functions
The University of Mary Washington has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Museum Store Assistant. The Museum Store Assistant is responsible for ensuring the museum store is stocked, clean, and presentable, reporting low stock to the manager to re-order, maintaining inventory adjustments, and organizing stock that is in storage. The Museum Store Assistant will also be responsible for helping to maintain the online store using CashNet TransAct, including updating existing inventory, adding new inventory, photos, descriptions, and prices. The Museum Store Assistant will also assist in fulfilling orders, packing, labeling, and shipping those orders.
T.A.M. Intelliware Software will be utilized by the Museum Store Assistant to update and maintain physical inventory, create and print SKU labels for products, and generate inventory and sales reports, as well as using the T.A.M. register for sales during some normal business hours, but also at some programs and events outside of normal business hours. The Museum Store Assistant will also help with end of fiscal year inventory valuations and reports.
